Summer Vacation!!!!!

Yay, it's June 1 and summer vacation is upon us! I just LOVE this time of year! Sooooooo much to do and lots of time to figure out when you want to do all that stuff! One thing I am going to do is scrapbook........yes siree bob!! I am going to scrap!! I haven't done toooooo much of that this past year, simple because we were in the process of selling our house and then packing and moving....all that is stressful enough, but have you tried doing that in the winter and freezing cold?? Oh my, the stress is frigid!! hahaha!! Well, we did sell our house and now we have a rental here in Coudersport PA.....have I told you how much I LOVE country living?! I do!!! NOT tooooo crazy about Coudersport itself, but God's country, Potter County, is just gorgeous!! I love taking photographs around the area, just beautiful!!

Well, back to scrapping.......I think I will make some time this weekend to do just that! Something that will help motivate me and inspire me will be the summer challenge going on at Scrapfreak! It's a point based challenge and the more layouts or cards you do, the more points you get.....the more embellies you use, the more points you get.......it's awesome! The girls there are soooo friendly as well, so that helps out too!! There is sooooo much inspiration there....if you happen to stop by and join in the challenge, let them know that I convinced you to try it out!!

There is also an "ABC Crop" going on all month long at My Sketch World!! They are a fun bunch with tons of inspiration too!! You can check that crop out HERE!

Memorial Day Weekend!

Wow, where is this year going?! I can't believe that school is just about out and summer is almost here.....pretty awesome I think!! Praise the Lord for summer vacation! WooooooHoooooo!! I have some neat things planned for summer, and ONE thing I have to do is scrapbook!!! I LOVE scrapping!! And guess what?! Scrapfreak is having a summer challenge to help get you motivated to scrap some more! There will be prizes if that's the way you choose, or you can just play for fun too!! I'd love to see some of you there and see your wonderful creations! I sooooo need to find my scrappy mojo!! Well, here's to summer!!

Today my family and I spent the day at Lyman Run State Park here in PA......what a gorgeous day to be at the beach! We timed it just right for leaving too....about half way home it started to rain! hahaha!! At least we got our beach time in! Next time I go, I am soooooo going to have some insect repellent with also......those biting flies are horrible!!

Last but not least by any means.........THANK YOU TO ALL OUR VETERANS WHO HAVE SERVED OR ARE STILL SERVING........WE WOULD NOT HAVE OUR FREEDOM IF IT WASN'T FOR ALL OF YOU! WE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU AND WHAT YOU HAVE DONE! MAY GOD TRULY BLESS YOU ALL!!

March is Here!

March is here and winter has come a little bit more as well. The snow from the past couple of days had melted, but today it's starting to snow a little bit more. Maybe it will stay this time......it's been such a strange winter this year.....I can't complain though.....the little bit of snow, little bit of cold has actually not been bad at all.

Some good news is that we have sold our house in NY! Yay!! We had been waiting for the house inspection news, and apparently things aren't too shabby! So that contigency has been taken off the house contract.....YAY!! NOW, all we are waiting for is for our buyer to get the loan.......supposedly they have been qualified at a couple banks so it shouldn't take too long for them to get one! I can't wait to have that mortgage outta here!! THEN we can go ahead and purchase a home near hubby's work.....I've been looking for soooo long. I just want a place to call home and settle down again and get the girls settled. Hopefully Julie will do better in school this next year wherever we settle down.

As for scrapping.....I've been to a couple SHORT crops here in PA, but I miss my scrappy friends up in NY......it just hasn't been the same. I haven't really scrapped here at the rental place at all, but I've been looking for a new scrappy home online and found Scrapdango.....seems like a great place and lots of talent and inspiration too! I also am thinking about going back to My Sketch World.....I miss the girls there also. Maybe by getting back to some online scrappy places I will feel my scrapping mojo kick in.....we'll see!!

February already?

I can't believe it's February already! Where did January go to? lol! Well, we are pretty much all settled here in our rental place in Potter County, PA. It's such a pretty and rural area, I just LOVE it! I am hoping to get scrapping soon, I've missed it! Next saturday is a 4 hour crop in Bradford PA that I'm hoping to go to. It's not a long time to scrap, but hey, at least I'll be able to get out of the house for a little while without the kids, lol! Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my little girls, but this momma needs a little break once in awhile! ;)

Well, my word for the year is "SIMPLIFY"............ I think that I've been doing an amazing job sticking to that so far this year too! I've been trying not buy things that I do not need and throwing things out that will just clutter up an area. I'm hoping that I'll be able to keep this up once we actually find a new house to buy down here! Everything just looks soooooo much better without all the clutter around, I LOVE it!

That's about it for today........I am HOPING to get a little scrappy this afternoon or evening, we'll see how that goes! Have a wonderful weekend!
